Kudos to the fantastic team at City of Hope
It takes half the burden off one's shoulders when a patient has a great team of doctors as Nook has...his hematologist/oncologist, the surgeon, the nephrologist, the ICU doctors, the pulmonologist, the ID doctor, the nurses who have been caring for him 24/7 in the ICU with a ratio of 1:1 (1 patient to 1 nurse) - hats off to their dedication and perseverance in patient care. The name "City of Hope" now literally means renewed "hope" in me! And yes - it takes a city to care for a patient!
