Sorry I deviated and went off on a tangent in the previous post. I was going to say Dr. Gloom who defined Nook "critically stable" yesterday did better marginally better on today's stats. His platelets went upto 84, his lung oxygenation came down to 45 percent (they need it to be at 21 percent before they contemplate taking him off the ventilator - so please keep those lung affirmations going - I think it really makes a difference when one sends those messages to his subconscious).
His kidney function is also slightly better - bilirubin is down to normal levels - so hopefully the liver is doing better - the blood glucose is 246 - so he's being given insulin but probably temporary till his normal functions return...
On the other hand, the low grade fevers continue every now and then - all cultures are negative - so fevers still are unexplained...they are pumping him with all the possible antibiotics...
Hope lung function improves over the weekend....

WELCOME TO NOOK'S HEALTH BLOG - STATUS UPDATES
My name is Sangeetha and I am authoring this blog on behalf of my husband - Nook (to friends) a.k.a Babu (to family) to provide some level of communication in terms of updates on his difficult journey to our supportive family and friends who are as anxious as I am for him to completely heal, and be whole and healthy again! Thank you all for your prayers and words of support and encouragement.
These are the kind of updates I look forward to when I refresh the page every 15 minutes! Made my day.......
ReplyDeleteHappy the prayers are helping! God has a plan for everyone, though we may not agree with a direction He is leading us, we are His servants on this world!
ReplyDelete"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." – Jeremiah 29:11
Thats a good progress. Hope and pray that he is off the ventilator soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates Sangeetha. You are almost always on my mind.
